The Earth games became better and better as each sequel was released, which is why nobody is saying Earth 2140 is the best version of the game. However, the Earth 2140 Trilogy it is a fine example of a futuristic battle strategy game where balancing is fair without being draconian. The Earth 2140 Trilogy is a 2D overhead-view battle game. The game comes with a standard mission pack and a final conflict mission pack. The graphics are lame when compared to Earth 2150 and 2160, but they were impressive in 1997 when the Earth 2140 Trilogy was released. The interface is clunky and ugly, but it is worth playing the game for the sake of a little retro nostalgia.
